Gridwise Alliance ranked Delaware #10 of all 50 U.S. states regarding the degree to which states are moving toward a modernized grid.
The report noted, “Delaware posts another strong showing in Grid Operations (#8) and a solid performance in State Support (#17). Transportation electrification is a strong suit for Delaware, where the state incentivizes homeowners and businesses to install EV charging stations, and the University of Delaware continues to develop and deploy vehicle-to-grid technology designed to leverage these installations.”
In October 2017, Delmarva Power filed an application with the Public Service Commission to deploy six different service offerings to support plug-in vehicle charging. Interested parties can comment on the application at upcoming public comment sessions or by submitting written comments to the PSC by referencing docket number 17-1094 in the PSC’s electronic filing system, DelaFile.
