Celebrating 70 Years of the Delaware Public Service Commission

Last month, the Delaware Public Service Commission celebrated 70 years in existence. In 1949, Delaware’s General Assembly passed legislation to create the PSC in order to regulate investor-owned public utilities. For the past 70 years, the Delaware Public Service Commission has worked to ensure safe, reliable and reasonably priced cable, electric, natural gas, wastewater, water and telecommunications services for Delaware consumers.

The celebration was attended by former commissioners, cabinet secretaries, legislators, former and retired staff members, as well as current commissioners and staff. Photos of the event that took place at the Cannon Building in Dover on September 12th, 2019 are below.
