FOR PROGRAM INFORMATION PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING LINK WWW.SRECDELAWARE.COM
On September 16, 2011 Delmarva Power & Light filed an application with the Commission to seek approval of a pilot program for the procurement of solar renewable energy credits (SRECs). Through this Application, Delmarva seeks approval for the Renewable Energy Taskforce to implement the Pilot Program, which calls for the Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU) to acquire, through an open procurement process, the Solar Renewable Energy Credits needed for Delmarva Power to purchase its minimum number of SRECs for compliance year 2011 as set forth in the Renewable Energy Standard Portfolio Act (RESPA). In the Application, Delmarva requests an expedited process before the Commission in order to allow the SEU to begin the bidding process as soon as possible so that the Pilot Program can be fully implemented for compliance year 2011.
On February 21, 2012 Delmarva filed a Compliance filing for the State of Delaware Pilot Program for the Procurement of Solar Renewable Energy Credits. This program document reflects the changes ordered by the Commission and memorialized in Order No. 8093.
